  • Low season is October 1 - April 30 (two night stay)

High season is May 1 - Sept 30 (three night stay)

The minimum number of nights stay excludes holidays such as:

Christmas, New Years Eve, Easter, Thanksgiving, Spring Break (three night min stay)

The private hot tub in our two bedroom cabins is included from October 1 to April 30. During the high season, hot tub use is available upon request for an additional fee of $50 per night and must be added for the full duration of the stay. For example: a three night stay is $150.

During the summer months, hot tub operation is by request only and subject to availability. Hot tubs may be unavailable during heatwaves.

  • We typically do not allow multiple cabin bookings to one family or group, this includes birthdays, anniversaries, stagettes, reunions, etc. But may consider exceptions based on availability, length of stay, and the nature of the request. Please contact us 250.572.5575.

As we host Wellness Retreats and Intimate Weddings, we limit our group bookings to these organized events.

We do not allow any unregistered guests on the property. Use of cabins and property amenities including the beach is exclusively for the use of our cabins guests. This is to ensure all of our guests can enjoy a relaxing and peaceful retreat here at White Lake Cabins. If you want to visit with friends or family in the area, please plan to meet elsewhere.

  • Our property features four cozy cabins, creating a quiet and uncrowded stay.

  • We keep things simple. There’s no formal check-in process—your cabin will be open and waiting for you when you arrive. Once you’re settled, you’re welcome to explore the property, meet the animals, and enjoy our private beach.

    • You’ll receive a full refund if you cancel 60 days or more before your check-in date.

    • You’ll receive a 50% refund if you cancel 30–59 days before check-in.

    • No refund for cancellations made within 30 days of check-in, unless we’re able to rebook the cabin. If we do, we’ll happily refund you.

  • While the cabins are not lakefront, they are just a short, one minute walk to our private beach, all on private property. The path is safe for children with no roads to cross, and you’ll get to visit all of our animals on the way to the beach.

Each cabin offers a unique “peek-a-boo” view of the lake, which becomes even more visible in winter when the foliage thins.

  • Unfortunately, our cabins and property are not pet friendly as we have a small farm with free range chickens and goats roaming around, as well as horses. We would be happy to recommend a dog kennel that is 10 minutes away from the cabins. We highly recommend it as we use their services when we travel and cannot bring our dog!

  • Are you ready for this? We do not have Wi-Fi. We encourage you to unplug and reconnect here at the lake. Each cabin is stocked with plenty of board games, books, magazines, and over 100 DVDs for cozy evenings or rainy/snowy afternoons.

Please note that cell phone reception can be hit or miss and we do not have cable or satellite tv but with so many ways to relax and play, you may not even notice!

If you’re coming for a couples’ or friends’ getaway and the kids are staying home, feel free to share our phone number so family or friends can reach you if needed. It’s an easy way to have peace of mind and really be relaxed, unplugged, and enjoy your time together.

  • All cabins have a stand-up shower. Perfect for a quick rinse after lake fun or a cozy morning wake-up!

  • Yes, there are no stairs required to access the cabins. The path to the cabins is all gravel rock, guests use their strollers and wagonswith ease on the paths. However, access to the private beach has a steady incline and may be a bit challenging for people with limited mobility. Feel free to contact us should you have any questions regarding this, we are happy to help!

  • Our two-bedroom cabins, Paddle Inn and Float Inn, each have a private hot tub on their outdoor patio. During high season (May 1 – September 30), hot tubs are available by request at an additional fee. While studio cabins don’t have hot tubs, there’s plenty to help you unwind and reconnect with nature. All guests can enjoy soothing hydrotherapy sessions, our sauna is available year-round for an added fee. Perfect to book your session on cooler mornings to get the day started softening those muscles, or relaxing after a day exploring the lake and surrounding trails.

  • Each cabin has its own private fire pit. Please note: summers in the Shuswap can be very dry, and there is a high likelihood of fire bans. During a fire ban, all open flames—including tiki torches with citronella—are strictly prohibited. We recommend bringing a propane fire pit, which is permitted during fire bans.

Our kids sell bundles of firewood, which include paper and kindling. You’re welcome to bring your own, but we do not allow chopping on the property due to past damage.

  • Yes, our kiddos manage this side of the business :) They have bundles made for a minimum donation of $10 each, approximately 8-10 split pieces of wood. Each includes kindling, matches, and paper.

Together with the kids, we built a firewood shed so guests can help themselves to bundles as they need.

We do the honour system here! Just leave the money in your cabin upon check out if you don’t see them.

You are welcome to bring your own firewood. If you do, please make sure it is all pre cut as we do not appreciate wood chips on the landscaped gravel as well as the possibility of the aggregate patio floors to chip. Which has happened in the past.
